1) You can set a partition up that is seperate from the music partition to be a UMD (driverless USB storage) device. You cannot play music from this partition, thanks corporate DRM junk!
2) Again, if you dedicate a portion of the player's drive to file tranfer, it is drag and drop.
3) FM reception is average for an antenna-less device. Which means poor.
I bought a Sleek because the Creative (and Best Buy's) web site claimed Windows 2000 compatability. When I went to install the driver it told me I was not running a supported OS. So the Sleek cost me $199 + another $130 for a copy of XP to support the stupid and pointless DRM. I hope and pray someone has a hack to allow playing music from the UMD partition in the near future, the included music management program blows.
Hi
I was interested in the Creative Zen Micro (5 GB) but i was hesitant in buying it 4 the:
1) The Player needs a driver 2 be seen by Explorer
2) Transfer of other non-music files is not convenient coz I have 2 format a portion of the drive 2 receive such files and this is not convenient and practical 4 me
3) Weak FM reception
Nowadays i've heard about the Zen Sleek and my questions are what does it have regarding the 3 issues i raised up ? i.e.
1) Is it friverless i.e. Can it be seen in explorer directly ?
2) Will transfer of other non-music files like doc, pps...etc be as easy as dragging / dropping AND/OR Copying / Pasting 'em on the Player ?
3) What about the FM reception ? is it ok even in closed places ?
Will appreciate any info coz i wish i get a player soon and hope i settle with a one i feel content with
