(originally attributed to Alice "She could believe 6 impossible things before breakfast.") has come to exert over people. I didn't begin to get that until I ran across it in The Restaurant at the End of the Universe which is part of the Douglas Adams cycle The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It's best in its original BBC Radio version, but it is available both in book and Audiobook form as read by Stephen Fry.
"If you've done 6 Impossible Things before breakfast why not round out your day with dinner at Milliways, the restaurant at the end of the Universe? Dine while watching the rest of existence end around you."
