Question

2nd router as extender

Dec 28, 2014 1:27AM PST

I have a new netgear N600 router. I have an old
Dlink WBR 1310 router. I want to add the dlink as a second router to extend my signal to the other side of my house.
I ran a cat5 cable to that area. Can anyone help me set this up. I cannot figure it out. My computer won't let me pull up the admin page.
Thanks....Dan

But if all the prior help pages failed I'll need to know more. Why can't we connect a PC to this router's LAN port and pull up the page? Maybe you tried to put it on your LAN before you configured it as a WAP?

help

I just tried to plug the old router into the new router. Do I have to turn off the netgear to setup the dlink(old)?
I am not sure what steps need to be done here.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

I always setup prior to adding it to the LAN.
