The biggest mistake is to try to recover the drive data on that drive without a second drive to hold the recovered files. That is, at no time will we try to fix the failed drive's sectors, data, file system or such.

Weird situation. I broke my 2TB HHD last year and had to get the data switched over to a SIIG HHD with over 2048 GBS on it. Therefore because it's over 2tb windows cannot make a new simple drive and I cannot see it on my PC.
I found some tutorials but they all just taught me how to erase the data first. Well obviously the whole point was to keep the data!
Any suggestions will be so greatly appreciated. Thank you guys so much.
