Question

2017 TCL 55P607 vs 2017 Vizio 55" M55-E0

Sep 26, 2018 1:36PM PDT

Which is the smarter choice, addressing any long-term reliability/durability and picture quality tradeoffs between:

TCL 55P607 (New) $479 with man. 1-yr warranty versus Vizio M55-E0 (floor model with 2400 hours on) for $440 with 1 yr warranty + optional 5 year warranty from Best Buy for $90.

Will use in living room with 10 feet from couch to screen, primary viewers on couch with direct view, periodic viewers on side chairs at 8 ft and about 35 degree angle. Majority of viewing at night. Large windows behind couch, but on North side, so no direct sun, and opaque shades. One other window 8 ft from side of TV on east, with shades. Watch Netflix TV shows and Movies, Public TV, some sports.

Not worth $100 if that is over 20-25% of the purchase price.
