2009 240Hz Models & Lag

Feb 24, 2009 9:46AM PST

Will the new 2009 Series 7 240Hz CCFL-backlit display have the same, or reduced gaming lag times? Does the Game Mode have adjustable settings?

Also, same questions for the 2009 120Hz Series 6 & the 2009 LED Edge-Lit displays.

Flash-Lights

I forgot to ask about flash light issues. Has the issue been resolved in any of the the 2009 120Hz or 240Hz CCFL-backlit displays or the 2009 LED-backlit displays?

SF59,

Any issues like these that are inherent with any LCD panel, we will handle on a case-by-case basis.

In theory, yes...

SF59,

The higher resolution means that there's more picture and movement of pixels; as you know, stagnent pixels is what causes blur as an inherent LCD issue.

As for the game mode, I believe there are some improvements on the units, but I won't be able to make any definitive judgments on that until the unit is actually released and people report their findings. That goes back to the ideal-vs.-reality argument of any improvement feature.
