2005 Lexus LS430 with Bluetooth while Car in Motion

Other than 1-touch phone numbers, Lexus disables the phonebook and the dial pad when the car is in motion. Is there anyway to enable the phonebook and dialing of numbers while the car is in motion? The Lexus implementation renders the phone useless when doing highway travel.
