This is my second Denali, 1st one was a 99 I traded in for 2004 just wanted a new body style I drove 280000 (yep) with two (2) minor issues; water pump and fuel pump. Beautiful driving vehicles, I used to think the imports were the way to go, my friends had path finders and 4Runners that drove miserably, we felt every bump limited space in the interior. I am average size guy 5'10" 165lbs but still cramped in the back seats. I stayed away from SUV's because I thought all of them road the same way (shame on me). While in the military I went from the Chrysler K car to Jeep Cherokee all of which drove like tanks. The military added the GM models and I was taken away by how smooth the Tahoe and the Suburban drove, they were like Cadillac?s on a 4wheel drive chassis. I dumped the imports and have been driving the GM SUVS ever since. Every vehicle burns gas, the least gas consumed the worst the ride, its a compromise somewhere. I drive 53 miles one way to work and I prefer a comfortable ride. My neighbor has one of those top of the line Lexus LS430 very expensive and great riding vehicle but its not that good on gas either plus it requires premium $2.89 per gal. Give me my pure American muscle anytime.
