2003 outlook mso.dll problems

Apr 16, 2005 5:55AM PDT

I have looked all over for help with this and so far I haven't found what I need.

I am trying to fix a computer with XP Pro sp2 with office 11 pro 2003 sp1.

Running norton internet security and microsoft's own spyware blocker searcher software.

The customer installed the new Office on the computer and this is the only account that can access e-mail now when any of the other 3 people log into their accounts, outlook locks up say that there was an error and to send a message to MS. There is a check mark in a box stating to restart outlook, but if you leave it checked, it just keeps looping to the error message and stopping.

I have tryed re-installing the new office, have tried repairing the install. But nothing works.

I have checked all the settings for the internet connection to verify that all the settings are the same for all four users and they are.

The event viewer says that the outlook.exe was faulty, that there was a fault in module MSO.dll fault address 0x0002efec.

Do I need to un-install any older MS Office products that may be on there? I didn't think to look when I was there to see if there was any old office things on the computer but I read that maybe that is the problem.
