Question

2003 Chevy S10 2.2 liter crank no start no fuel

Feb 25, 2017 9:00PM PST

A friend of mine has a 2003 Chevy S10 2.2 liter. She shut the truck off at a gas station and it would not restart 5 minutes later. Prior to the truck breaking down, it ran fine.
Cranks, no start. I sprayed staring fluid in the intake and got it to start. So I thought no fuel, right? I can hear the fuel pump coming on when the key is in the start position. I took the fuel line off at the outlet to the fuel filter and no fuel flow when key is flipped to on position and fuel pump fires up. I thought the fuel filter may be clogged, so I replaced it.

Same problem, cranks no start no fuel. Could the pump be coming on and not be be strong enough to pump fuel? Is there a module for the injectors that may be acting up? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
