That must be run-time Access still being installed. An introduction: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/odc_ac2003_ta/html/odc_AcBasicsofRuntime.asp
Do you mind? Then go into File Type screen, and check what program is being used to open a .MDB file.
I created a database and had to delete the VBA and access 2003 completely from the suite due to security restrictions. I dont have access on the PC anymore but still can open my database. It is a locked down version and can do everything it was designed for but restricts any type of editing or access functions. It opens the switchboard and will run all the query's. Its a mystery how this is still running without access installed. Does access have the capability to create a self running database that would explain this. I know power point can create a presentation to run without the program so maby access can do the same.
Thanks for any help in advance,
