Jun 24, 2015 1:17PM PDT

I currently have 2 routers set up in my network and one router had to be replaced soon that is an ASUS and the new being a Dlink. Do I have to setup the new router or will it be plug and play?

Answer
I've been into routers for 2+ decades now.

Not one has been plug and play. I've had to set each one up every time.

The good news, is that new routers are very easy to setup compared to what we had in 1995.

2+decade response.

I was pretty certain the advancements had not gotten that far as of yet. I did not set this current system up and wasn't sure how much of a headache was going to entail. I figured it would be a "work from scratch" scenario. Thank you for your response.

you have to set it up, and its very easy.
every router has its own manual in the box, you can do it by your self.
