2 Optical Sources to 1 Optical Input and 1 Coax Input?

My receiver has two inputs - one is optical audio, one is coax audio. My problem is my sat box is optical and the Xbox 360 currently only has optical(or analog) outputs. Is there such a thing as an (1)optical-to-coax converter cable, (2) an optical coupler or (3)otherwise, what is the best option to solve this problem?

$29.95 The only problem is that you have to switch manually up to 3 inputs.. I dont know what a/v/ amp you own but most receivers have 2 or 3 optical inputs. Post back and tell us you set up . steweee

Bought one from Amazon a couple years ago. Just looked and they have 5 lest at 9.95 from the EMTCOMPANY. search "Recoton Digital Audio Selector Switch". Like Stewart says, it is manual, but it works and it is cheap. It uses mini-toslink connectors, but the adaptors are included and they work perfectly.

is a little silver box that converts digital optical to digital coax. a simple google search will give you both picture and prices on such an item. we use it in our store for our speaker room and it works quite well.

look on ebay too to find them at a very good price.

Sony All in One AMP.

I downgraded my amp a couple of years ago to fit my components into what is kind of a limited space. This was not a great move, as I've not been extremely happy. It's a Sony all-in-one with the DVD player, amp, etc., in one system. One of it's major drawbacks is its lack of inputs - only two audio inputs(one coax/one optical.) It also has no audio monitor out. The sound quality is not bad, though.
I'll switch back eventually to a stand-alone amp, but I'm making due now with the all-in-one.
Thanks everyone for the advice - and I'd be happy to hear any other tips on this situation.

Yes amp should be replaced with a a/v/ amp like DENON . and Sony speakers are very poor quality and here is where you want to spend as much money as you can afford, high quality speakers will last a lifetime and is the heart of your home theater system stewee

Yes like all receivers if you buy a cheap Sony then you get what you pay for. Sony ES does make fine AV but sure there's better a/v receivers out their. JMO
