2 in 1 digital HD video/camera POSSIBLE?

I want a 2 in 1 digital HD video/camera that has at least 5 megapixels photo resolution, good zoom (more than 12X if possible), a built in flash and memory that can be expanded by a memory card, hopefully for less than $1000. Any suggestions?

I see such out there but would not buy such because each one has some compromises when you put both systems in the same camera. Again, there is such a thing out there so make a list of what you are considering and then post that list in this forum.

It's a big world so what I have here in Pawtucket may not be available to you.
