Did, you new HD come with any s/w bundle? If so, usually the makers provide an easy path to migrate from one to the other. It's worth checking into plus visit that new HD support webpage for any s/w tools that does the job, whatever name they give it, it will be available. Be sure once you use such s/w you're prepared as 1 shot is about all you get before any glitches, so be ready. Norton's Ghost provides the same service for the s/w cost and I believ Drive Image does the same service. In either case, free or paid s/w, follow the instructions to the letter. Back-up for safety sake as well before proceeding or at least the immportant data.
I just bought a 120 gig hard drive to free up some space on my other hard drive. I set it up as a slave instead of a master. How hard is it to transfer files and make it the master instead of the slave? I don't want to lose the data that I have on my original drive.
