2 GB MP4 player remained 109 mb

Hi
I've bought a 2 gb mp4 player.after sometime my pc asked me for formatting it and I allowed.
now it has just 109 mb.
please someone tell me what should I do now?
Am I able to recover it?
how?

When you formatted your player you wiped all the data from it including the software the runs the device. This software is called firmware. Go to your manufactures site and download new firmware.

That's all I can think of.
