2 computers with pcAnywhere not communicating?

Feb 12, 2005 10:24PM PST

I am tring to work from home with pcanywhere. I have host 11v and I have host/remote 10v. I chose not to use the host 10v on my work computer because it wants to change login and my boss would get all freaked about it. Well I thought it shouldn't matter. when I try to communicate I get a black screen with many different characters and once in a while it will open the other computer. Most of the time it will not OR it will open and then immediately close. Sometimes it says set remote to none security and it changes it and logs on. I have changed both to low low and pcany to pcany (when both pcany I would get that message) I have XP Prof. v2002 service pack 2 my work has 98 does this matter?
If I can't get this to work i will lose this job..... please help.
