2 CD/DVD RW drives have same letter, both work from it

Windows XP
We changed out a dead CD ROM and put in a CD/DVD RW, hooking it piggyback to the other CD/DVD RW - replacing wiring as on the dead one (Only two sets of wires out). Now both read as D and both will play music as the D drive. One needs to be the E drive and operate as the E drive
