2 camcorders

Folks,
any way i can hook up 2 digital camcorders to my computer?
I've tried both on firewire and one with firewire and the other usb,but i couldn't get it to work.
I've been using a combination of WMP,Nero and also the software that came with the camcorder.
They both work independently ,but not together.
Anyone have any ideas.

The concept was to do 2 or more webcams as a video recorder. After much work I only found Linux to even come close. As it was a test project I learned what I could from that and to this day still don't find multiple cameras to be supported in Windows.
