But if we read in the CDR FAQ we note that there is usually a 2 second gap in between tracks. You may have cut too close to 80 minutes and expected the Easy Media Creator to be perfect in its time calculation?
In closing, I don't use Easy MC. I use CDBURNERXP to make my audio CDs. Why would I bother with Easy MC? (you don't have to answer, I ask since I have no reason to use the others)
As to the song with noise I'd re-rip that from CD and take care to use CBR (constant bit rate) since VBR while nice can trip up commercial software.

I am having trouble with the music cd I burned. Specifically, I run Windows XP and I used the Music Disc Creator ~ Audio CD project within Roxio's Easy Media Creator 10. There are 2 issues that I can't figure out:
1. About 5 of the songs (the first one and four near the end of the cd) have a significant amount of static and there is none to be heard on the original mp3's.
2. An even MORE frustrating issue is that the last song did not even burn and the next to the last song only recorded half of it. Some other details include:
* - I used a Sony 80-minute CD-R
* - I made sure the disc size said "80 Min"
* - The total length of the songs was 79:15.
I am wondering if somehow the software thought it was a 74-minute CD the last song was 5:30 in length and the next to last song was short by 1:15 (approximately). So, if you do the math, 79:15 minus 5:30 and 1:15 is 72:30.
I would greatly appreciate help in these matters. Thanks in advance!
