2.35:1 DVD on 16:9 LNXXB550 settings?

Aug 6, 2009 4:14PM PDT

Hi!

I have a LN40B550 and just received a 2:35 DVD as a gift...I'm watching it now, but I can't seem to find a suitable picture size setting to fit the whole frame on the screen!

The "Wide Fit" is the only image that doesn't look distorted, but much of the sides of the frame are cut off.

Screen Fit sounds like it'd work, but the image sides then look like I'm watching from in a fishbowl. Same effect with the 16:9 setting, and 4:3 is way off Happy

Anyone found a good setting to watch these? Or am I missing something?

Thank yooooou!

ermum,

Have you tried changing the output settings on the DVD player as well to see if that improves the picture size?

Thanks! Found it!

I had the output set correctly, but I had to change HDMI-specific settings on the DVD player to 1080 upscale as well.

Thanks again Grin
