speakers basically at the front. I might add that 2.1 can be pretty darn nice sound. So, I don't know why you assume you want a sound bar. After all, a sound bar tries to project enough sound to symmetrical corners so enough will bounce back to enhance the feeling of ambiance.
Yes, sound bars are getting favorable reviews now. However, since their effect is only simulated as it is electronic trickery, why not just embrace those front L&R & the sub woofer as the best quality speakers that you can afford?
I can imagine dozen brands of speakers with such sweet sound & a fundamentally good sub woofer is best bought from firms that specialize in sub woofers. Entry price there is $300-500.
Hi I am looking for a 2.1 surround sound or a sound bar but I can't make up my mind. I don't have a lot of money to play with. I don't need a dvd player. I was looking at the bose cinemate, but I didn't know if there is a better 2.1 or sound bar out there in that same price range. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you
