General discussion

#1Why did Firefox take so long to load for me? #2 Adblocker?

Sep 8, 2005 3:58PM PDT

This morning at 1:15am EST, firefox failed to load until 1:40am. Why? I use a Mac OSX and Adelphia HSI.

Another question. How do I use Adblocker correctly. Right now I stumbled on Adblocker and used it for the CNET Forum page. Just great to be rid of those awful headers.
Still need help with the Adblocker features. (just corrected a typo?Adblober) :

Kevin

Did you get the Adblock Filterset.G Updater to go with Adblock? It will work on it's own and will prompt you when there is an update.

I have found that is you try to install the google extention or toolbar you get an error about scripting so I removed it.

Also a great Extention is NoScript. It works grreat and you don't have to click 150 times at your favorite website.

Hope this helps

Did I what?

Rick, Thanks.
No, I did not download Adblock Filter set G.
I certainly will. Beats clicking that obnoxious ad 150 times! HAHA!! You are right about that!
I do have a Google Gmail account also from your suggestion. Will test that out also.

Off Subject: Fifteen years ago I worked for the advertising dept. of Grossman's, a large building materials supplier in New Emgland. The company was trying out their email at the time and wanted a name for it.
I created a graphic and called it Gmail.
How about that! FACT and documented!
I was ahead of my time and the company was past their time. The only part of Grossman's left is in California known as Builder's Warehouse and in the North East as Bargain Outlet.

I always liked the sound of Gmail. Don't you?
Google does also!
Glad someone has a use for my efforts naming an email.
