Windows 95/98/ME has issues past 512M and definitely at 1G. Since I don't know the patch for 95 and am unsure if the tweak for 98/ME would work in 95, my suggestion is to go to 512M and wait till you can toss 95 out.

The infamous "cache" or ram magaement problem is known to hamper operations above 512kb on win9x/Me OSes. Under a dual boot operation, if XP started, no problem, but if win95, it may hang or BSD error. I do recall some fix, but win95, I forgotten, maybe at MS knowledgebase if more helpful, some Q######. For practical reasons, you'll have problems regardless if using win9x/Me.

Have you considered getting rid of the Win95 partition altogether and just use the XP?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
