1gig iPod Nano

Feb 6, 2006 11:29PM PST

Apple just released a 1gig iPod Nano, without any huge show. Is this the future? Simply updating the Apple Store?

Let me share this.

The 1G Nano was written and talked about in the press and more so it's not a big surprise item.

I think it's a grand move so that other companies can use that as a gimmick device. Such as the free nanon with your new car, etc. Price matters in those venues.

It's all about price and marketing. You may not want it, but the market does.

Shuffle
Feb 7, 2006 10:56PM PST

I am glad that they are keeping the Shuffle around. I think it has its uses for people who are blind. If I were blind I would be pissed if they got rid of the Shuffle. I have a friend who is blind and they are always talking about how great it is that they actually have a product they can use.

I also think that the new prices for the Shuffle are much better.

I'm slow...but...

Ok, I just thought about this. I don't know why it didn't hit me until now. But, I was looking at the Apple site and it says that the Shuffle can hold 120 songs. Think about this. You spend $70 on that thing, bring it home and spend $120 to fill it up!

THANK THE MAN UPSTAIRS for FREE podcasts & free (legal) music alternatives.

Another thing, they make all this money off of the iTunes Music Store, can't they lower the price of these iPods just a little bit more? You give me a Shuffle for $40, I will buy one! </rant>

hmm...well if they lower the price, the other 512 mb mp3 players out there will feel it, because I haven't seen a $40 mp3 player, probably because i live in canada and everything i see is in canadian dollars...lol

you could also get ipods for free from that website...what's-it-called, oh freeipods.com i think

Too Cheap (Poor)
Feb 11, 2006 3:51AM PST

I'm too cheap (poor) to do the other offers. I just want someone to give me one, lol. But, actually I plan to just use my PocketPC, so I really don't need one. I am planning on getting an SD & CF card soon.
