I am a mom that's had a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport new, and has now passed it on to my daughter. Last year when there were heavy rains it seemed to stall often, I had someone try changing spark plugs & a new battery and it's happening again now that winter's over and spring rains are becoming heavy and sopping. It has 172k miles and until two years ago it was garage kept, now I have no garage. She tried driving home last night in the rain and it stalled three times on her. It's a sturdy little jeep, I've always gotten regular oil changes on her. I don't want my daughter to worry and I want her safe. Any suggestions or has this happened to anyone else? I don't want to get screwed at a mechanic who can tell I clearly don't know much about vehicles.
