Worked at jeep dealer for 12 years. Make sure you have the right bulbs in there. they may fit but if they are not the correct ones the light will stay on. if you have the right ones in,then you may need to change the box that controls the dash light its in one of the rear interior panels.dealer item only.
I keep getting a rear light indicator fixture even when 2 bulbs were replaced and i reset everything by leaving the battery terminals disconnected for an entire day. the minute i pressed the brake pedal, the indicator came on again.Does anybody knows anything about this problem as I hardly worked on chrysler products. I was a GM drive-ability tech before I got injured. Now I bought this cherokee, which runs well except for this indicator and the alarm, I found out also the ignition key switch looses its position due to wear and tear as it does on GM's and then watch ot bacause the auto lights stay on unless you switch the key all the way to the accessories position.well if anyone knows about the rear light indicator let me know.
