The long term price of a $199 computer with aol is about $486. Still not too bad for a laptop, but you have to figure in the cost of AOL. If you are looking to pay over time, I bought my last Dell with no interest until 2007, so there are other deals that are really better.
I couldn't believe it when I saw this, and no one's mentioned it on the news or anything, though they keep talking about the WalMart one for almost $400.
Reg. $799, with instant savings of $350 and another instant savings of $250 with a 12-month subscription to AOL. I'm not sure how long the price was good for, it says 6 hour specials while they last, doors open Friday 5 a.m., but the fine print on the AOL membership says that deal is good on 11/25 and 11/26. They also (as if that weren't amazing enough) have a free all-in-one printer and a wireless router, but those are after mail-in rebate and require the purchase of a notebook, even the sale ones.
Sorry to post this after it's over, but I thought it was interesting the news was making such a big deal about the Walmart one and this one was flying under the radar.
