update a bios from within a windows environment...so read the .txt file that came with your bios update download to follow the instructions EXACTLY. Print it out so you have it handy while you are doing the instructions...don't leave it up to your memory. And ALWAYS choose the option given to back up your current bios so you can restore it if the update goes wrong.

I am trying to update my bios before downloading Microsoft Service Pack 2. When I try to get the Exe file to run it brings up the dos window, I press enter and then it says I have a 16bit dos subsystem and I need it to be 32. How do I fix this? Thanks in advance Roy
I am running windows XP
