1500+ ping help

Jan 31, 2014 9:59AM PST

Hi everyone, I'm currently at my family's cottage near Tremblant in Quebec where I go nearly every weekend. Internet here seemed fined at first (was slower than in the city but nothing unbearable) until i tried to play some online games like League or Legends or Borderlands 2 with friends where I got huge delays of 1-2 seconds and in the case of league, I couldn't even login. So i decided to test my internet at speedtest.net where I found out my ping was of 1600 and was told the server was located in Winnipeg which seemed very odd. Went to a similar site called pingtest.net afterwards where I got similar results and this time got told my server was located in Calgary

I have no idea what is going on as I've never had similar problems before. Anyone has any idea?
