120GB PS3 Slim Settings for Samsung UNB8000 and Denon 3808CI

May 2, 2010 7:06AM PDT

I've been searching everywhere and finding a great deal of info on all the different settings for the PS3 when its connected with an HDMI to an HDTV, but I still can't deduce what settings would work best for my particular setup...
Any suggestions based on my equipment?:
-Samsung 46 inch UNB8000 240HZ LED edgelit
-Denon 3808CI Receiver.
-Everything is connected via HDMI.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

You could spend hours

You could spend hours, even days or weeks trying to figure out what is the "best" setup, or you could just find something you're happy with and leave it at that. Seriously, some people will spend more time trying to tweak things for the optimal setting than they ever do actually USING it and ENJOYING it. Do you want to be one of those people?

I'm not one those people actually. I frequently use my stuff, I just want to make sure I'm using it to the best of their combined ability.

So who are you trying to convince?

So who are you trying to convince? Me or you? Just enjoy what you have, and stop obsessing over achieving perfection. It's a completely subjective measure anyway. Some people like warmer colors, others like cooler colors, some people are more sensitive to whites than others, what may not be bright enough for one person is too bright for another. Find settings you're happy with and leave it at that.
