Has component out. Now if it could output 1080p. You wouldn't need an apple tv.

I said it would be neat if it could do 1080p. Could it already outputs SD via component.

component vs hdmi vs vga
Feb 20, 2009 5:31AM PST

Well actually, even though component and VGA are analog, there isn't a great difference visually between component and VGA and hdmi.

The pro of hdmi - all digital
The con of hdmi - the higher resolution includes copy protection

The pros of component and VGA - works with more hardware currently in use at the higher resolutions
The con of component and VGA - longer wire lengths will degrade signal

Don't believe me? Do you think there's a great difference visually? Here are some sources:

And no, I'm not fanboy. There are plenty more sources if you want to search it yourself:

also cowon is also pretty good at pushing features...

not only will a mobile not be able to display 1080p on itself (smallest screen so far is 7" by Sony), it'd take a lot of proc power to output (not that its not possible, but not rly worth it)

What you COULD do is store a 1080p movie on your iphone/thumbdrive/whatever, and just run it off it, i think the bandwidth is ok enough to do that...

OR get a small laptop... lol
