1002.1 firmware for HT-BD8200

by pegasus_gr / April 25, 2010 6:52 PM PDT

Hello to all,

I saw that there is an updated firmware for BD8200 but all it says on the site is 'improves Unit capability'. Can we know the exact list of changes with this firmware?

Many thanks

1002.1 firmware for HT-BD8200 (upgraded)
by pegasus_gr / April 26, 2010 10:25 PM PDT

Upgraded device last night. Went through the menus and some Divx movies and mp3 files but didn't notice anything different (sound seamed a bit louder but then again this could be just my idea).

Can we have some feedback on the unit capabilities that were improved?

Unfortunately, I don't have any information beyond what's offered on the website. There was a firmware update for several units for the Avatar movie that I'm aware of, but other than that, I don't have any additional information.

Didn't seem to fix any problems
by KartRacer82 / September 25, 2010 12:54 AM PDT

This firmware update seems to do very little for all the problems with Samsung TVs not recognizing the mode and the BluRay played getting stuck in a perpetual "loading" mode. My unit has already been in for service once without solving any of the issues. I'm afraid it's next trip is going to be to the dumpster. This has been my first experience with Samsung products and although I liked the TV I'm pretty sure another Samsung product will never enter my house again.
