what's even cooler than the fact that it's $100 is it's features!

battery can be charged with a hand crank
strap is the ac power cord
built-in p2p network creation
it's a tablet pc

Hate to say it, but why not feed the little fly ridden kids first? heh... sorry to be insensitive its just so easy here in my cozey plush chair Grin

but this is pretty sweet, and so cheap... id buy one for some kid

Infrastructure

I think the point is to build an education system and an infrastructure that supports the goverment and economy so that in the long term you don't have the fly ridden kids. This really isn't going to the poorest of the poor. Just the really poor. I think the target is probably those families that are making $300-3000 US a year.

part of poverty is lack of education/medicine...basically knowledge. what ended the dark ages? gutenburg's idea to empower everyone with knowledge.
