What a hoot!

I don't know when the apocalypse will come but I'm pretty sure the date/time won't be announced by some preacher or the network news. Unless, that is, God has an odd sense of humor.

He's done it by prophets in the past

However we've clearly been told that particular event won't be announced or revealed exactly as regards the time in the future.

I say this every time someone comes up with a date

If I were God and someone actually came up with the right date/time, I would change it. Devil

Just a nagging note to someone who knows

the difference between an 'operation' and a procedure: Happy

Apocalypse means 'a revealing of some important matter'. Hence "Book of Revelation". I think you already knew this, but I want to point out that the 'revealing' took place some 2000 years ago (Rev, Mt 24, Mr 13, Lu 21, 1 Cor 15 et al.).
It has been left 'as an exercise for the reader' to understand and apply so as to know about when Armageddon will come.

"For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and
rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet ... Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh"

Very good writing.

And, if I may insert a comment (and even if I may not): Devil
The references were very good; someone did his homework. The scripture that rapturists miss ('good guys go up; bad guys stay') is Proverbs 2:21,22:
"For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it."
IOW, 'bad guys go away; good guys stay. From the good ol' KJV, whose compilers believed many of the crazy things held to today by "Christians"- in spite of having the truth [literally] right in front of them.

In spite of the obvious humor opps, there is real tragedy now upon the participants. Sad
