I have win 2000 pro,IE6.
My start page does not fully download,on the bottom it says 1 item remaining(opening page). Some sites or pages, though a small part will say action canceled.I have limited experience with computers,I would appreciate laymen terms.
Thank you,
Tom

Tomron,

If you could tell us what your "start page" site is, we might be able to help more.

Just a thought here....

Do you use a HOSTS file which is blocking those particular portions of the page from loading? Or possibly a pop up blocker? The "Action canceled" will frequently be the result of an attempted opening of a "banned" site. Have you tried disabling the pop up blocker or HOSTS file to see if it fixes the issue?

If you wait longer, what happens to the "opening page" message? Does it eventually go away with an "error on page" message? If that's the case, it's possible the coding on the page isn't quite correct and there's nothing you can do about it.

Hope this helps and let us know more.

Grif
