hi,
I bought a kingston 256mb flashdrive from Circuit City [Cincinnati], will I get a mail in rebate for this purchase?
Thanks
Srini
Circuit City has 512mb 200pin notebook RAM for Kingston (check Kingston web site for your model notebook RAM type) in all 3 speeds: PC3200,PC2700 (333mhz) and PC2100 (266mhz) all for 79.99 after mail in rebate this week.
Many notebooks right now use the PC2700 notebook RAM (like my HPZT3000/Compaq X1000 or the HPDV1000) but they are selling all 3 200 pin notebook RAM types.
Even if you are looking at buying a new notebook it is cheaper to pick up one of these (and order only 256mb RAM 1 slot or 512mb RAM 1 slot) and increase your RAM by 512mb (to 768mb or 1gb) or only $80 !!!!!
I have this very same RAM in my Compaq X1000, it is fully guaranteed by Kingston (if they state your modell is compatible at their website) and it is very easy to install given you have an open 2nd RAM slot (be grounded while installing it by holding metal object or using ground strap and make sure notebook is both unplugged from A/C and battery is removed from notebook (states this in Kingston instructions).
Also, Circuit City will install it for $29.99 for those of you who don't want to do it yourself this week.
Again, the retail price is 109.99 for all 3 notebook RAM speeds - $30 mail in rebate = 79.99 for 1/9/05/1/16/05 only ...it is very rare to see PC3200, PC2700 and PC2100 notebook RAM all on sale at the same time for the same price.
