....When the Red Sox Win the World Series.

ROFLMAO! I would not schedule time off for that one if I were you. Wasn't last year supposed to be the year The Curse was broken? And the year before that? And the year before that? And......

Well you heard it here first (but certainly not last), folks.

My stepfather will be 90 in a couple of weeks. He was four years old the last time the Red Sox won the World Series.

What do you think would happen if the Red Sox actually did it? Their fans are so conditioned by generations of disappointment that it almost feels like they wouldn't know how to handle it. They wouldn't be able to rant about the $#@!*&ing Yankees anymore, they'd have to adopt a slogan other than "Wait Till Next Year," all sorts of adjustments would have to be made. The misery is part of what bonds Red Sox fans together. It would be very interesting to see how they cope with success.

Not that it will happen in a zillion years.....

I think they will cope with it very well. Misery is not what bonds the Red Sox Fans together, its plain old Loyalty.

Know the difference between a hot dog at Yankee Stadium and a hot dog at Fenway Park?

You can't get a hot dog at Fenway in October.

Josh,

Have you submitted your entry for the 'I want to play third base for the Yankees' essay contest?

Good luck.

LOL, I'm on my final edits now. I'm willing to do it for half what Boone was getting. At least Drew Henson has finally made a positive contribution to the Yankees by quitting baseball.

Sorry to disappoint...

But we just spent a couple hundred mil to build the Padres a new ballpark and they gaurantee it will give them a winning team. Frankly, after the naming of the park - I'm a bit skeptical - could the team be anything but a dog playing in PETCO Park?
