Question

0xc00000e9 error (time sensitive please help)

Oct 5, 2011 3:36AM PDT

I attempted to start up yesterday and got "Unexpected I/O error has occurred. Status 0xc00000e9" and some message about "Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer" even though I had no USB devices connected at the time. Startup repair spins indefinitely.

Ask the machine's maker to fix the machine. Your post is incomplete so your fastest path is to call the machine maker and have them send out the repair crew.

We Use Our Backup Copy In Such Emergencies

But as Bob said, you've given us little information about the computer. Full operating system information, computer make and model.. Whether this is an internal or external drive with TB of data..

And if you can install the second hard drive on the computer, why not perform a full reinstall of everything on that drive using your recovery discs.. Once that's done, extract the data from the original drive which contains the data, then process the video using the new setup or maybe even a different computer?

Hope this helps.
