I agree, Andrea. No reason to have that button there. You'd add a New Discussion from the main thread list, not from inside a thread!

I agree search is a lot more important -- but implementing it would take a LOT more scarce programming resources than either eliminating or moving that button.

Glad we got the forums peroid.
And know Lee and possibly a few others have and still are really trying to improve things.
But I'm afraid that internet freebies are going to become more and more scarce, from forums everywhere to freeware/shareware to possibly even the search engines.
Companies are asking what good is this doing us? and not liking the answers.
I just hope the other search machines don't follow suit -
It does cost web site owners money to get their sites on the major search machines anyway, so google for instance would already receive some income from it.
