Surge protectors are the sort of thing I always forget I need but, shamefully, still have several walls in which appliances, lamps and other home electronics are in a perpetual battle over a spot in the outlet. That ends today because I just found an Aduro surge protector with six outlets and two USB charging ports for $9 via Daily Steals (normally $25). One thing to really love about these oval Aduro models is that each one has two outlets that aren't directly next to another. This makes them perfect spots for those bigger, more cumbersome plugs that tend to block the space of neighboring plugs (air conditioners and computer chargers, to name a few) -- a condition CNET's Mark Serrels memorably called "plugspreading."
