Get a refurbished Apple iMac 21.5-inch Core i5 desktop for $450, over $100 cheaper than anywhere else

It's not the lowest price ever on an all-in-one iMac desktop, but it's an incredibly attractive deal.

We love the iMac's all-in-one design, solid performance and attention to detail as much as the next website, but you'll spend $1,100 minimum just to get out the door with a bare-bones off-the-shelf iMac. Thankfully, you can do a lot better with a refurbished model. You might not save a ton at Apple's own Certified Refurbished store, but there are refurbs at Amazon for $600 and less. Right now, you can even do better than that: Daily Steals has an Apple iMac 21.5-inch Core i5 desktop for $450 when you apply promo code CNETAPMC at checkout. That's about $120 less than the equivalent refurbished iMac on Amazon, and the cheapest price I could track down right now.

This desktop has been refurbished, so it should look and work like new, though it might have minor cosmetic blemishes. If you're nervous about that, you can take some comfort in the 90-day warranty, which is the same warranty you'd get with an Amazon iMac refurb (though Apple's own factory-refurbished models come with a one-year warranty).

This iMac is equipped with a late 2013 Haswell-family Intel Core i5 CPU with integrated graphics and 8GB of RAM. For storage, you get a 1-terabyte hard drive and the display is a 21.5-inch, 1,920x1,080-pixel, 16:9 widescreen IPS display. The bezel includes a built-in HD webcam and stereo speakers. Connectivity includes four USB 3.0 ports, dual Thunderbolt ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

It'll arrive in bulk packaging and comes with a third-party mouse and keyboard (which, incidentally, is the same as the Amazon refurb deal). As always, this deal is "while supplies last," which might not be super long at this price.
