Though the Apple Watch Series 8 only just hit the market this September, early Black Friday offers are already giving you the chance to save on one. Right now, Walmart is offering $50 off the Apple's latest smartwatch, dropping the 41mm GPS model down to a record-low of $349. You can also save on 45mm models as well as cellular-enabled variants while supplies last.
These Walmart Black Friday deals were available exclusively to Walmart Plus members initially, though anyone can now get in on the savings. Amazon is matching prices, too. We'd recommend getting your order in sooner rather than later if you're hoping to grab one.
The Apple Watch Series 8 might not have the more rugged build of the Apple Watch Ultra, but it is certainly a solid option in the lineup. They have the same heart rate, blood-oxygen sensor, electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) app, always-on display and crash detection feature, and both run WatchOS 9. It also is crack-resistant, IP6X-rated dust-resistant and swimproof with WR50 water-resistance, so it's still hardwearing enough for most folks. It's less than half the price of the Ultra with today's deal, too, making it a better choice for those that don't absolutely need the extra brightness, battery life and action button of the $800 Ultra.
The new Series 8 sports some decent upgrades over the Series 7, like a temperature sensor and ovulation tracking, and is definitely a great smartwatch, particularly if you are getting a smartwatch for the first time or are leveling up from one a few generations old. It tracks fitness and sleep, has safety features like fall detection and allows you to get calls, notifications and reminders right on your wrist. Plus, you can use Apple Pay at the checkout.
