The recent Amazon product event sparked excitement around new Amazon devices such as the Kindle Scribe and Halo Rise, plus upgrades to the Echo Dot, Echo Studio and Echo Auto.

With new products and features set to arrive soon, now may not be the best time to buy an Amazon Echo. That said, if you'd had your eye on a third-gen Echo Dot or second-gen Echo Show 5 or Echo Show 8, the current Amazon Echo and Cync Smart Bulb bundle is worth checking out.

To kick off its partnership with Amazon Alexa, Cync from GE Lighting is including two free GE Cync Full Color Smart Bulbs with the purchase of an Echo Dot (3rd gen), Echo Show 5 (2nd gen) or Echo Show 8 (2nd gen). The deal, a $28 value, is available exclusively on Amazon until Oct. 30.

GE Cync Full Color Smart Bulbs are compatible with Amazon Alexa, so you can use that new Echo Dot or Echo Show to say, "Alexa, turn off the lights," schedule timers and adjust the color settings for each bulb. 

The Amazon Echo Dot (3rd gen) is currently available on Amazon for $18 -- less than the value of the two GE Cync Full Color Smart Bulbs. The Amazon Echo Show 5 bundle is available for $35, while the more advanced Echo Show 8 is on sale for $70.
