This story is part of Amazon Prime Day, CNET's guide to everything you need to know and how to find the best deals.
Amazon's Prime Early Access Sale is here, and it's easy to get overwhelmed. We're here to help. CNET will update our October Prime Day deals article throughout Amazon's sale, but I wanted to chime in for this 8-inch Stainless Clad Frying Pan by Made In. It's selling at 20% off, which brings the price down to under $64. Yes, you can find cheaper pans. But you'll probably wear them out in a month. Not the case with this durable cookware.
This five-layered, stainless steel pan is the smallest size the company offers and is a great introduction to its quality kitchen products. First, I was drawn by the company's commitment to partnering with US manufacturers. But I was hooked after using the pan. I use my stainless steel pan on the stovetop daily for breakfast, and it superbly browns up my sausage and potatoes like a champ. But it's also capable of transitioning to the oven and handling roasting temps up to 800 degrees.
One thing to note: Amazon's page for the Stainless Clad Pan says it's made in the US. That's true of many of the company's products, but this particular pan is actually made in Italy. The founders, on the company's site, mention they use both US and Western European makers, so I'm not complaining.
You could get a cheaper pan out there during this sale, but I guarantee it won't last as long as the Made In Stainless Clad Frying Pan. I've gone through many cheap frying pans just trying to cook eggs every day, so it's worth investing a little more now and getting a better performance for the long haul.
