The Wintergatan Marble Machine is a wacky, whimsical musical instrument (Tomorrow Daily)

A huge music box-like device plays music using 2,000 marbles; plus, researchers show off a stretchable circuit that might someday evolve into robotic skin.

We positively love the meticulous and creative craftsmanship of the Wintergatan Marble Machine. Designed by a Swedish musician, it requires 2,000 metal marbles to play, and works kind of like a massive music box, with some instrument add-ons.

Meanwhile, in Switzerland, the EPFL is developing stretchable circuits. The material and design they used in the clip we're checking out on today's show is created with gold and gallium, and can extend to four times its original length, while still conducting current.
