WinBook has launched a new J4 notebook computer that sports an Intel desktop Pentium 4 processor running at speeds of up to 3.06GHz. The new WinBook J4 also includes a 15.1-inch display and ATI Technologies' Mobility Radeon 9000 graphics chip.

By releasing the new J4 model with the fastest-available desktop chip, the Hillard, Ohio-based company is looking to tap a trend among consumers, who have begun to favor larger, more powerful laptops fitted with desktop Pentium 4s. The new J4, which weighs 8.4 pounds, will start at about $3,100 when fitted with the 3.06GHz chip, according to WinBook.
