
The earnings season may be winding down, but a few industry titans have yet to deliver their quarterly results. They'll be doing just that in the coming week.
Cisco Systems, a networking giant and technology bellwether, will announce its financial results, as will storage vendor Quantum.

- Quantum is a storage company. It's expected to report a third-quarter loss of 3 cents a share.
- Cisco Systems is a networking equipment maker. It's expected to report a second-quarter profit of 17 cents a share.
- Akamai Technologies is a Web hosting services company. It's expected to report a fourth-quarter loss of 1 cent a share.
- Alcatel is a telecommunications equipment provider. It's expected to report a fourth-quarter profit of 22 cents a share.

Monday, Feb. 2
- Personal Income measures income from all sources. December growth is expected to dip to 0.2 percent, from 0.5 percent in November.
- Factory Orders is the total of durable and nondurable goods orders. The December total is expected to drop 0.3 percent, down from 1.4 percent in November.
- Initial Claims is the weekly total of new claims filed for unemployment compensation. The total is expected to remain flat at 342,000 for the week ended Jan. 30, from the previous week.
- The Unemployment Rate is the percentage of American workers looking for jobs. The January rate is expected to remain flat at 5.7 percent from the previous month.
