With this simple iPhone app, you can impress friends and family by appearing to levitate in photos.
I'm all for a little tomfoolery when it comes to quick-and-dirty photo-editing tricks on mobile devices. The latest app I can't get enough of that meets this criterion is Levitagram.
I first discovered the app on The Next Web, and it didn't take long after I first read the article to purchase the app for $1.99 from the App Store.
The app works like this: take a photo with you, or any random object, on top of a chair, box or whatever you have handy.
You then take an additional photo with both items removed. Levitagram will then overlap the two photos and let you erase the prop that was holding your item up.
The end product (as seen at the top of the post), while it would look better if it was done in Photoshop, is impressive for something that takes just a few seconds on your iPhone.
One big tip to make sure your photos are believable: don't move your iPhone between photos. If you have a tripod -- use it, or else prop up your phone and be careful not to bump it.
If you decide to play around with this app and happen to get a great shot, be sure to share a link to it in the comments below. I'd love to see how creative you guys can get.
