Every time I watch "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," I insult along with the French knight, sing Sir Robin's praises, and fervently wish I had a coconut to add horse-trotting sound effects to my life.
Design studio Original Content London has figured out how to bring the sounds of Monty Python-style equine movement to bicycles. Trotify is a wood kit that mounts on the front of a bike. As you pedal, the tire triggers Trotify to clomp a coconut up and down. You'll have to provide your own minstrel and squire.
Trotify comes shipped in a flat pack. You pop out the wood pieces and put the gears all together on your own. You also have to provide a coconut, so you can have a snack while you're working.
Original Content London needs to gather a thousand preorders before Trotify can go into production. So far, 113 orders have been pledged. The price was originally about $40, but has now been lowered to around $32. That sounds like it's a long way off, but it's not dead yet. There's still 24 days left to go in the crowdfunding drive.
